What is real estate crowdlending

Real estate crowdlending is a form of collective financing dedicated to property-related projects. A group of people provides capital to support the development, renovation or acquisition of residential, commercial or industrial buildings. Unlike equity investment, crowdlending is based on a loan relationship with defined maturities, rates and terms.

In Italy the sector is regulated by European Regulation 2020/1503 on Crowdfunding Service Providers (ECSP) and by the national provisions of Consob. Real estate projects are published through authorised platforms that present documentation, financial plans and property characteristics.
